(Deuteronomy 4:2 [KJV]) Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I
command you.
(Proverbs 30:5, 6 [KJV]) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
(Isaiah 28:10 [KJV])
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
(Isaiah 28:13 [KJV])
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
(2 Peter 1:20 [KJV])
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
All of the studies, book or topical, found here, are done with research with mainly two things: The KING JAMES BIBLE and a plain old, 1828 Webster's Dictionary. Why? Outside of actually studying secular and Jewish history, archaeology, one needs nothing more. You do not need foreign, dead languages that no one speaks, lexicons, concordances or commentaries, because they differ not only with one another and with the KING JAMES BIBLE, but they create division, confusion, debate, and unbelief. We do not need them. That Word of God written and preserved for us in our own language is supposed to be enough, like the Old Testament was for the Jews, and the New Testament for the early Christians in Greek, Latin, Italian, Spanish, German, etc. There are studies within as tangents on words, subjects found within the two testaments, as to broaden the scope of the study, to learn more, deeper truths. This is not an intellectual site with PhDs, theologians, and no worldly wisdom.. Check everything out, everything. Not just here, but with everything you read and see and hear. Be Bereans:
(Acts 17:11 [KJV])
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Always research for yourself, use all of the context, and never privately interpret!
1 Timothy Chapter 1: THE MOST GRACE GIVEN
(1 Timothy 1:1 [AKJV/PCE])
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
Our forgiveness, God's Grace, our secured future in heaven, is our hope
JESUS CHRIST, OUR GOD, OUR SAVIOUR
(1 Timothy 2:3 [AKJV/PCE])
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
(Titus 1:4 [AKJV/PCE])
To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
(Titus 3:6 [AKJV/PCE])
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
(2 Timothy 1:10 [AKJV/PCE])
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
(1 Timothy 1:2 [AKJV/PCE])
Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
They are Blood related, because Paul brought him to Jesus Christ and discipled him, raising him up and enabling him to be fit for the Master's use
Grace: unmerited favor. We do nothing, we get forgiveness
Mercy: We are spared the punishment we deserve, because we did do something (wrong) and escape it, by the grace above mentioned
Peace: First and foremost with God, no longer being an enemy to Him, an adversary, peace within ourselves, peace with others as much as is possible
(1 Timothy 1:3 [AKJV/PCE])
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
From Genesis to Revelation, from fables like "evolutionism" and "Darwinism" to "post-Tribulation Rapture"
Especially Genesis, with the false teaching of "endless genealogies", long ages, "millions and billions of years"
The reason Paul says "no other doctrine" is simply because that belief leads to a false Gospel of death before the fall of Adam and Eve
The evening and the morning...seven literal days. The "fables and endless genealogies were not pat of the Jewish recorded family lines, their imaginary traditional teachings on Genesis, as this is not what reading them would lead to believing. No amount of Scripture twisting will get one there without compromise, private interpretation and ignoring the entire context. What Paul is speaking of here is straight, strict paganism ,with the belief accompanying it, that origins goes way back for eons, Darwinims, evolutionism being thrust into the Word of God and trying to accommodate, meld the two. It simply fails the sniff test.
(Genesis 1:5 [AKJV/PCE])
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
(Genesis 1:8 [AKJV/PCE])
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
(Genesis 1:13 [AKJV/PCE])
And the evening and the morning were the third day.
(Genesis 1:19 [AKJV/PCE])
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
(Genesis 1:23 [AKJV/PCE])
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
(Genesis 1:31 [AKJV/PCE])
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
(Exodus 20:11 [AKJV/PCE])
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
(Romans 5:12-14 [AKJV/PCE])
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
(1 Timothy 1:5 [AKJV/PCE])
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
A pure heart, unfeigned, is real love, not love to get something back, not fake love, temporary love until _______ happens
This is what comes from a good conscience as well, combined with the pure heart
(John 13:34-35 [AKJV/PCE])
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
(1 Timothy 1:6 [AKJV/PCE])
From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
Jangling is arguing, bickering, quarreling, disputing, unnecessarily so, making it vain
This vain jangling comes from feigned love, impure hearts with bad consciences
JAN'GLE, v.i. To quarrel in words; to altercate; to bicker; to wrangle.
JAN'GLE, v.t. To cause to sound untunably or discordantly. --E'er monkish rhymes, Had jangl'd their fantastic chimes.
(1 Timothy 1:7 [AKJV/PCE])
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
The pride and the desire to control others with unlearned minds, that teach false doctrines because they can
These are commonly referred to as "know-it-alls" loaded for bear with worldly wisdom, little from God and His Word who really know little, but are power hungry
(1 Timothy 1:8 [AKJV/PCE])
But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
We are not under that law because of Christ for our salvation, just for order in society, order in family, to demonstrate to the world the need for the Savior
That showing us the need was the actual purpose of the law in the end, since this life is temporal as by law we shall all die
Because we are believers, understand the purpose of the law, have that law, are willing to submit to God to follow that law with the help of the Holy Spirit of Christ, we know that that law cannot save, that we do not need to be saved, and that law is only for our own good to follow
(Galatians 3:24-25 [AKJV/PCE])
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
(1 Timothy 1:10-11 [AKJV/PCE])
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
For sexual perverts, liars, kidnappers, murderers, etc.
The law is a guide to keep order in societies, families, etc.
And does not prevent mankind from disobeying it, because of sinful hearts
THE GOSPEL OF THE BLESSED GOD, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
Throughout the New Testament, the Gospel of God is also called the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Gospel of Christ, same Gospel, same God
(Mark 1:1 [AKJV/PCE])
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
(Romans 1:1 [AKJV/PCE])
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
(Romans 1:9 [AKJV/PCE])
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
(Romans 1:16 [AKJV/PCE])
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(Romans 15:16 [AKJV/PCE])
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
(Romans 15:19 [AKJV/PCE])
Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
(Romans 15:29 [AKJV/PCE])
And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 9:12 [AKJV/PCE])
If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 9:18 [AKJV/PCE])
What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
(2 Corinthians 4:4 [AKJV/PCE])
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(2 Corinthians 9:13 [AKJV/PCE])
Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
(2 Corinthians 10:14 [AKJV/PCE])
For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
(2 Corinthians 11:7 [AKJV/PCE])
Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
(Galatians 1:7 [AKJV/PCE])
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
(Philippians 1:27 [AKJV/PCE])
Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
(1 Thessalonians 2:2 [AKJV/PCE])
But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
(1 Thessalonians 2:8-9 [AKJV/PCE])
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
(1 Thessalonians 3:2 [AKJV/PCE])
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
(2 Thessalonians 1:8 [AKJV/PCE])
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
(1 Peter 4:17 [AKJV/PCE])
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
WHOREMASTER, n. [supra.] One who practices lewdness.
(1 Timothy 1:12 [AKJV/PCE])
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
As we all were, as we all obtained mercy, grace through faith
As we all still are, just forgiven and declared righteous, because Jesus paid it all, for it all, in His Blood
Like Paul, unbelievers do evil ignorantly, in unbelief, all day long, every day
(1 Timothy 1:14 [AKJV/PCE])
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
That grace has to be abundant, since our sin is so overly abundant
The important part is that that grace of our LORD is available to all, but only by faith and love towards Christ Jesus, whih is only found in Christ Jesus, freely available to us, He being the source
There is quite a distinction between faith IN Jesus Christ (us believing, origin is us) and faith OF Jesus Christ (origin is from Him)
"
THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST/CHRIST JESUS
(Romans 3:22 [AKJV/PCE])
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(Galatians 2:16 [AKJV/PCE])
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(Galatians 3:22 [AKJV/PCE])
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
(Revelation 14:12 [AKJV/PCE])
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
(Philippians 3:9 [AKJV/PCE])
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
(1 Timothy 1:15 [AKJV/PCE])
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Paul proclaiming he is the worst sinner who ever lived means you and I obviously, certainly can be forgiven, if he can be!
(1 Timothy 1:16 [AKJV/PCE])
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Paul was the best example of a sinner saved by grace, never haing earned salvation in any way, but fighting against the Christians to the point of murdering them in large numbers
(1 Timothy 1:17 [AKJV/PCE])
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
The world says they have no king but Caesar
One day they will crown Him King of Kings, LORD of lords, Who is eternal, immortal, now invisible to us, then they shall see Him, the only wise God
(John 19:15 [AKJV/PCE])
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
(1 Timothy 1:18 [AKJV/PCE])
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
(1 Timothy 1:19 [AKJV/PCE])
Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
The vain jangling mentioned above in 1 Timothy 1:6 leads to shipwrecks
Shipwrecks happen because of the inability to steer away from an object that hits from underneath
Shipwrecks happen unexpectedly also, because of the inability to see that object that hits from underneath, suddenly sinking the ship
The Titanic was boasted as a ship that "even God Himself can't sink" in 1912, which sank on its maiden voyage, hit by an iceberg
False doctrines can lead to a 200 foot gash in one's faith, affect many with death, unexpectedly, blindly, suddenly, invisibly, in short order when it happens
This vain jangling above is from the same thing, pride, arrogance, hubris of mankind who thinks he knows more that God and can correct God and His Word(s)
(Jeremiah 32:27 [AKJV/PCE])
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
(1 Timothy 1:20 [AKJV/PCE])
Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
God said, let the ship sail, full steam ahead, full speed ahead, with the rich on it, and let them be at the mercy of the sea, with the unseen enemy taking care of it. No mor pride, arrogance, hubris heard from them all, once they go under that spell of false teaching, rank heresy
It sinks Christian lives, even entire congregations, affects millions of the blind and lost and even saved if they are on any form of media that makes them famous
Hopefully, those two learned not to blaspheme, for their own good
