All of the studies, book or topical, found here, are done with research with mainly two things: The KING JAMES BIBLE and a plain old, 1828 Webster's Dictionary. Why? Outside of actually studying secular and Jewish history, archaeology, one needs nothing more. 2 Peter Chapter 3: THE PAST AND FUTURE JUDGMENTS
This chapter of 2 Peter is a benchmark for the present day state of Christianity, because the very denial of the first two largest events to ever strike the earth, the Creation and the Flood of Noah, are now today denied in a huge way, for the last 150 years, the literal book of Genesis often ignored in the first few chapters, so as to not offend some, a desire to not lose members, because many Christian children were and are raised in the secular, government school system and not home schooled by their parents. Worse, the "seminaries" (a word not found in God's Word) even teach this nonsense of evolutionism in its many forms. The subject may be slightly touched upon, and that is it, which cause confusion and, by the time that child goes to college, they leave the church, deny Christ, and believe in evolutionism (a religion). The Creator denied by "science falsely so called" (1 Timothy 6:20),the Flood denied as well, now the future judgment of earth by fire is, in their minds, easy to dismiss. This is worldwide, widespread, in most churches across America, seminaries, and In the Minds of Men, firmly implanted. Nothing will stop God's plan, so denial of it will not help anyone.

THE REASON FOR FIERY TRIALS: REJECTION OF GOD'S CREATION/FLOOD JUDGMENT
In the following verses, the process of what is now history here and in all civilized countries from the 1800s to now is prophesied, and this is the only explanation for such a transformation of the mind from God to paganism (evolutionism). The reason for the rejection is the denial of future judgment by fire

The quote the first part and stop right there, ignoring the "an a thousand years as one day" part, on purpose
Verses five to seven above show that the context is God's judgment by fire, not the Creation and the Flood, as those were supposed to be examples to us as a warning
In their minds, they imagine that, of they can just get rid of the actual Creation account and specifically the judgment of the Flood, then there will be no future judgment by fire

They are willingly ignorant of the Creation as told in Genesis 1, 2 and the Flood of Genesis 6-9, do not believe it as written, because they want to believe the

This they do because the idea that God, the Judge of all the earth, will one day judge all of the earth, is so repugnant to them that they cannot handle that truth
and so must deny it, supplant it with a religious lie, popular among many
They will take verses out of context, twist them and make them say what they want to achieve that purpose, such as v. 8 here, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of
this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.", by using only the first part to say that the earth can be
"millions and billions of years old", ignoring the second part, ignoring the context completely which is judgment, God being longsuffering of mankind's evil and
wicked ways to let people have time to get saved and apply that to the age of the earth

Notice we do not fall from grace or from our salvation through the Blood of Christ; we just we give up, stop walking with the LORD and walk in the flesh, just falling in our steadfastness
We can repent of that sin, be restored to fellowship with God but, as in all lives, our RELATIONSHIP with the Father means we are still His children, just like a teenager who leaves home in rebellion against his earthly father
