INTRODUCTION:

(Deuteronomy 4:2 [KJV])
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

(Proverbs 30:5, 6 [KJV])
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

(Isaiah 28:10 [KJV])
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

(Isaiah 28:13 [KJV])
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

(2 Peter 1:20 [KJV])
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

All of the studies, book or topical, found here, are done with research with mainly two things: The KING JAMES BIBLE and a plain old, 1828 Webster's Dictionary. Why? Outside of actually studying secular and Jewish history, archaeology, one needs nothing more. You do not need foreign, dead languages that no one speaks, lexicons, concordances or commentaries, because they differ not only with one another and with the KING JAMES BIBLE, but they create division, confusion, debate, and unbelief. We do not need them. That Word of God written and preserved for us in our own language is supposed to be enough, like the Old Testament was for the Jews, and the New Testament for the early Christians in Greek, Latin, Italian, Spanish, German, etc. There are studies within as tangents on words, subjects found within the two testaments, as to broaden the scope of the study, to learn more, deeper truths. This is not an intellectual site with PhDs, theologians, and no worldly wisdom.. Check everything out, everything. Not just here, but with everything you read and see and hear. Be Bereans:

(Acts 17:11 [KJV])
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Always research for yourself, use all of the context, and never privately interpret!

Ephesians Chapter 6

(Ephesians 6:1)
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
(Ephesians 6:2-3)
Honour thy father and mother;(which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Honour Thy Father and Thy Mother

(Exodus 20:2-17)
I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. ΒΆ Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal.
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

(Ephesians 6:4)
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
(Proverbs 22:15)
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

  3. In law, duplicity is the pleading of two or more distinct matters or single pleas.

(Ephesians 6:7)
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
(Ephesians 6:8)
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
(Ephesians 6:9)
And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
(Ephesians 6:10)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

The Whole Armour of God

No doubt Paul had seen his share of Roman armour on troops prepared for battle, or keeping peace on horseback, doing crucifixions as he did before he got saved, etc. He was exposed to them constantly. This armour we are to wear consists of prayer, careful study of God's Word and faith. It is a spiritual armour, not a physical one, whose effectiveness will become known only when we engage in spiritual warfare, which for some is daily, for others occasional.

This battle can come in the form of friends, family, co-workers who will persecute us, hound us, watch our every move to see us sin, ready in an instant to accuse (or even falsely accuse us) us, usually with the old saying, "You call yourself a Christian??". This assault comes both in the physical realm and the spiritual one, the enemy using people or fallen angels to harass us daily. If we do what Jesus did in Matthew chapter four and Luke chapter four, like those instances, we will see it works.

(Matthew 4:4)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

(Matthew 4:7)
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

(Matthew 4:10-11)
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

(James 4:6-7)
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

(James 4:7)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

(Ephesians 6:11)
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(Ephesians 6:12)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(1 John 4:4)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

(Ephesians 6:13)
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
(Ephesians 6:14)
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
(1 John 5:13)
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

(John 10:28-29)
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

(Ephesians 6:15)
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
(Acts 1:8)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

(Matthew 28:19)
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

(Ephesians 6:16)
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
(Ephesians 6:17)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
(Ephesians 6:18)
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
(Ephesians 6:19)
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
(Ephesians 6:20)
For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
(Ephesians 6:21)
But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
(Ephesians 6:22)
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
(Ephesians 6:23)
Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Ephesians 6:24)
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Written from Rome unto the Ephesians by Tychicus.
(2 Corinthians 12:7)
And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
